  • K-MASS is a uniquely formulated intumescent epoxy designed to be molded directly on Critical Process Control Equipment (CPCE)

  • K-MASS has excellent flow properties that are ideal for molding processes. Molded directly on components or in a custom mold to make custom designed shells ideal for field installation

  • K-MASS provides superior insulation characteristics in high heat flux, rapid temperature rise hydrocarbon fires

K-MASS DB (Directly Bonded)

K-MASS DB is an intumescent epoxy Directly Bonded to an actuator or valve allowing full access to all controls and instrumentation.

K-MASS FI (Factory or Field Installed)

K-MASS FI provides the same premium fire protection as K-MASS DB. While DB is molded onto the actuator housings and gearcase in our facilities, FI is a cover cast in our shop to fit specific actuators. It will provide the same level of fire protection as our well established DB, only with the convenience of being added to the actuator in another facility or in the field. All flame-paths and easy access features have been retained.

K-GUARDS

K-GUARDS are a field installable PFP cover, custom designed and manufactured to allow field installation of PFP. Constructed from molded K-MASS and tested in compliance with the ANSI/UL1709 fire test curve, K-GUARD allow the protected equipment to operate and survive for minimum 30 minutes when exposed rapid temperature rise, in excess of 1093°C/2000°F. Levers and wheels can be extended outside the covers to allow The equipment to be operated without removal of the PFP covers.
